I have been cited for tall grass and weeds. One of my defenses is that
none of my plants are weeds. To show that this is more than my personal
opinion, I am looking for people with any kind of horticultural
credentials (degrees, jobs, etc) who would sign a statement along the

often 7 jobs going at once in 3 counties and occasionally 5 employees. I
know a weed from
a food/ornamental/medicinal/culinary/specimen plant. Since that time I own
farmland in a rural area whereon
I have food producing market gardens within an elaborate (water, nutrient
and erosion management & ongoing soil quality improvement system
[expensive]) permaculture system.
I can speak with authority about the difference between weeds and
"economic" botanicals as can most of the 849 subscribers to this sometimes
exotic forum.
Most of my landscaping work was in urban and suburban areas with occasional
jobs in rural subdivisions and on rural properties.
I'll take a picture of one of my yards with WEEDS approaching 4 feet in
height, by design [want the grasses. clover and vetch to go to seed; the
greater burdock will get scythed].
Let me know how I can help, Bob.

These plants are not weeds. They are plants that are ornamental,
useful, edible, or provide important ecosystem services for bees and
butterflies. Growing these plants in an urban area is an important
public service.
Or words to that effect anyway. My hearing is June 2nd. I would like to
collect as many letters as possible on this, doesn't matter if
people are from Oklahoma City or not.
The plants growing at my place are:
Alfalfa
Apple Mint
Blackberries
Blueberries
Butterfly bush
Butterfly weed
Cannas
Clove currants
Comfrey
Crimson clover
Daylilies
Delphinium
Eupatoria
Hairy vetch
Hardy hibiscus
Hollyhocks
Jerusalem artichokes
Lambs ears
Liatris
Loofa vine
Maximilien sunflowers
Morning glories
Nanking cherries
Native sunflowers
Oregano
Pole beans
Prairie roses
Prickly pear
Scarlett runner bean
Spearmint
Walking Onions
White Dutch clover
Yarrow
Anyone willing to help with this?
