Come support and celebrate tangible solutions for food and economic
justice in the Bay Area!

Planting Justice is an innovative grassroots permaculture organization
that combines door-to-door community outreach, urban permaculture
education and implementation, and edible landscaping for both full paying
and non-paying clients. This green jobs program creates exciting living
wage jobs for urban youth while generating income to fund our non-profit
work with low-income community members, schools, community groups, etc.

Our first annual fundraising concert/party is at the historic Humanist
Hall in Oakland on Sunday December 13th. We will be blessed with
performances by some of the most incredible dancers, musicians, eco hip-hop
artists in the area... Mariee Sioux (http://www.myspace.com/marieesioux),
Dascrybe of Debajo del Agua (http://www.myspace.com/dascrybe), the Space
Pirates Cooking Show, Communitree (http://www.communitreemovement.org/),
the Halau O Keikiali'i Hula Group and a Bollywood Dance performance by
Archana Sachdev!! We'll make a big fire at the stone fireplace and enjoy
lovingly prepared food by Pachamana Cafe, organic beer from Linden Street
Brewery and Triple Rock Brewery, and LOTS more.

All funds go to support our green jobs program and our urban permaculture
empowerment projects and collaborations at San Quentin prison, high
schools and middle schools in Oakland, and backyards and frontyards across
the East Bay that are helping community members grow healthy food and
create local jobs right where they live.
