Hi all,

I'd like to make to make a couple of quick points here. First of all, it
was a pirated pdf copy of Mollison's Permaculture Two that got me interested
in permaculture in the first place, and inspired me to save up the money to
take a PDC - and also to purchase a copy of the Designer's Manual. So while
in the first place, I engaged in "piracy" - an act which many on this list
are angrily decrying, it was the impetus for a lifechanging experience and
has indirectly contributed monetarily to both Mollison and the individuals
who taught my PDC. So instead of criminalizing and ostracizing Evan (love
your blog, btw, dude), we might be thanking him for providing individuals
like myself with information that can lead to a lifetime of sustainable
action (which benefits us all in the long run).

Also - some of the diatribes posted on this list against Evan seem
altogether out of character for a group of folks dedicated to making this
world a better place. Shouldn't this issue inspire respectful debate
rather than anger, finger-pointing and veiled threats? In my opinion,
People Care demands much more than that from us.

Cheers,

Jon Storvick
