About yellow jackets: There are effective non-toxic attractant traps. You
can make one out of an empty pop bottle, bait it with some meat which will
rot and attract the yellow jackets. . Critters get in can't get out. The
quick & dirt way to get rid of 'em is chickens, which will eat 'em up.
Google "integrated pest management."
Paul Stamets is awesome, brilliant but I doubt his carpenter ant product
would work for yellow jackets.

Dear Kenny Swain,
Here is a video of Paul Stamets who has invented a fungi method to stop
carpenter ants...this may also work for yellow jackets.

Paul's company's website: http://www.fungi.com/
The simpliest solution is the Wasp Ruse:

I'd like to find a way of just discouraging them from inhabiting their
current nest; but if not, a non toxic extermination method.

Can I eat the seeds of the paw paws now that the fruit stage has gone
by (which I missed..) I am able to pick up some of the dried up pods
with seeds. Are they ok to eat?
