As long as the topic is rock powders, could I ask a question? Lawrence? Anyone? The only "rock powder" available around here is limestone, and it is dolomitic. My soil actually doesn't need much calcium.

You can easily put too much dolomitic lime on your soil resulting in too high
a pH and too much magnesium.
What kind of "rock powders" are you referring to??? I thought maybe granite, but there is no granite anywhere around. I even went to the business that makes grave monuments...mostly granite, but all the work (and hence, dust) is done in

Rock powder from rock quarries that make crushed rock for road building and
concrete making.
Other quarries making other products sometimes produce powder suitable for
food cropping.

Georgia (USA). I do have a source and am using some azomite, but that is all that is available. Thanks for clarification.

Azomite is an excellent source of minerals though it is much more expensive
per unit volume than quarry rock dust.
From:

"AZOMITEĀ® is a naturally mined product that is an excellent anti-caking agent and a unique re-mineralizer for soils. For sixty years regional crop and livestock producers from central Utah have used this exceptional material to improve livestock and plant growth. Assays reveal that the material contains a broad spectrum of active minerals and trace elements."
