"The dry matter comparison would make sense but it is normally not done;
farners are normally paid for weight and bulk, so that is what the
conventional yield studies of cultivars and techniques measure."

That reminded me of a major conventional ag scam in the chicken
business. Factory chickens are killed and plucked and then washed in
water, in the U.S. In Europe, the carcasses are often air cleaned. The
water is quickly contaminated and even inside the processing industry is
referred to as "fecal soup." By regulation, up to 8% of the body weight
of a processed chicken can be fecal soup.

But the gross profit margin on selling chickens are in the 6% to 8%
range (Tyson Foods - symbol TSN). So all of Tyson's profits come from
selling fecal soup at chicken prices!

In the 1990s, a company attempted to import Swiss air cleaning equipment
to change the chicken industry. They were never given an import license
by the Department of Commerce. Secretary of Commerce: Ron Brown, picked
by the Clintons and later killed in a mysterious plane crash. Major
contributor to the Clintons: Tyson Foods. Former board member of Tyson
Foods: Hillary Clinton. Not that I have anything against the Clintons,
or even Tyson. They are just doing what industrial ag does best: sell
shit to the masses, and call it chicken.
