In terms of collecting information on successfull systems, and good
examples, don't forget the work of Marsha Hunzi in arid area of Bahia,
Brazil.
Over a year ago she posted a report about her work, detailing a doubling of
yeild (in monetary terms) for some of the farmers she is working with - she
is using complex species mixes, increased biodiversity etc. At the time, her
post included photos which made it rather large. Many members jumped on her
for breaching the norms of this group. And so, it seems the the importance
of her report was largely lost in the smoke and gunfire.
For those that weren't too rough on her, maybe you could now, politely ask
for a copy of her report - its one of those examples we need when trying to
show that PC actually works.
