Hi,
In one of the re: comfrey posts someone said that comfrey was illegal to
actually *grow* somewhere. Is this true?! I can imagine them ("them" again)
saying that doctors can't dispense it...but making it illegal to grow in
your backyard? If that's true, I better get some established while I still
can!
That makes me wonder...If it is illegal, what do they do about it? Pot is
illegal here in Humboldt County, but everybody grows it anyway. Every
summer, the coppers in their choppers swoop in and pull up many tens of
thousands of plants (and rough up a few civil rights). Easy enough with
cannabis, but I'd like to see them try and get rid of a big comfrey patch.
Think of the advantage of growing illicit comfrey over pot: if you hear
the helicopters coming or get a report over the CB radio that the cops are
on their way, just hack it to the ground and hide the stubs with straw. In
a couple weeks it'll have all grown back.
Just imagine: black market comfrey, $4,000/lb!
Mikal
