Aloha,
I recognize all that. The problem with 'Permaculture Information Web'
from a design standpoint is that it's just too long. It doesn't make
a good logo and the acronym is non-obvious and non-associative.
Not logo - page title in HTML. E.g. the text inside the title tags in the head section of the HTML document. Logo is nice as it is, no need to change that.
> Anybody else have a set of font choices that includes good
looking fonts that are available in Unix, Win, and Mac (Arial is not
available on Unix). This would go in body {font-family: "Font";} of
the css.
For sans-serif I usually use
font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
Verdana is the "hot" sans-serif web page font since several years back; it's supposedly designed to render/read well on digital displays even at quite small sizes, so you could use
font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
I reckon most Win machines will have verdana; others I dunno but in any case if not they will get arial or if not helvetica or if not whatever the default sans-serif font is.
