Glenndale works best for us in, in terms of yield and vigor. Flavor very
good. Also doesn't defoliate as most others do.
For black currants, Crandall (Ribes aureum) also very good.
Some of the Euro Black currants also work.

Also, if you can find TIRA Newsletters (The International Ribes Assoc.), Ed
Mashburn wrote lengthy observations there, from eastern PA observations.
Hal Love?, sometimes active on this list, is based in TN and has a
collection.
Joseph Postman, Ribes curator at NCGR-Corvallis, also knows who in the
humid east has trialed some, and in the past has been willing to pass on a
name or two of Ribes enthusiasts.
