Do you not know about the other strain of sour cherry: Morello? Here on the
dry south facing slope of Spokane where I live heat can build quite high in
summer. My Morello (on Zaiger root) does just fine. Only about 8 feet tall in
four years, It had a lovely crop last year. No problems with disease,
hardiness, fruit set or wilting. Pure red flesh and juice, very tart; my wife
made a cherry crisp last night as a surprise. Good stuff!
