Hi,
There is a commercial blueberries self-picking farm nearby and they use a soundtrack of birds in distress on a speaker. I inquired about it, and of course did not realize about the type of cries it was. Apparently, it keeps the wild birds away because they feel that there is a danger... It is not a bad bird sound for the pickers to listen to and of course we are not scared off by it... :)
It could be an interesting route that might warrant further investigation as this would be a lot cheaper than netting, but I do not know whether the birds eventually get used to it...

Any suggestions on how to keep birds from my blueberries? Netting is terribly expensive. (about 14 bushes in a row) and they always seem to get underneath it. pie tins? Muffin tins? I'm tired of feeding the birds this way. jerry in southern Indiana
