Dear Doreen,

Among the pyrus rootstocks, OH x F 513 and OH x F 333 produce
considerable dwarfing but neither thrives in the South, but might be
satisfactory for you. OH x F 51 is ideally dwarfing in the South but no
longer in the trade. If you put an interstem of Conference, that might give
further dwarfing. Some have used varieties of quince in your chill zone
which would also be dwarfing and might influence precosity to bear.

Regards, Ethan

Which pear rootstocks result in the smallest trees? I have a Le Nain Vert
that is genetically dwarf, and it hasn't bore fruit. I obviously need
another variety to cross pollinate, but I want to keep that tree small, too,
due to the tight area in which the pears are planted.
