Hah, I was right! I got to thinking about
some of Asian plants that will grow in shady areas, and as a sort of semi vine,
goji would be likely to grow in woods or thickets. Also for those of you
up north, look into codonopsis and matrimony vine. All "tonic" herbs in
Chinese medicine, perennial vines and cold hardy. Donna
"Goji seedlings are very sensitive to direct sunlight
when they are young and need to be gradually acclimated to direct
sunlight. This is why it is best to start your seedlings indoors. If
your seedlings are exposed to direct sun to quickly they will experience
ultraviolet burn and die."
