If Dave Wilson now says that it couldn't possibly have been on that rootstock, then I was misinformed by the nursery back when I asked about it. Unfortunately, the trees were sold to me without the rootstock tags that usually come with Dave Wilson trees.

I ordered these from Peaceful Valley Farm Supply this year.  They didn't come with the usual tags.  Someone at davesgarden.com let me know that they'd written you and you'd replied that you'd had to raid your commercial stock.  That makes sense.  However, I'd still like to know what rootstock these are grafted to.
