Jim,
Do you have a Food Saver (or similar sealer)? I have been sealing small containers of materials in the plastic Food Saver bags. The machine removes all the air and the contents will keep from year to year. If the container starts to distort, I start the sealing process which stops the air removal.

Subject: [NAFEX] Grafting--Doc Farwell's question

This grafting discussion brings to mind a question that I have had. I
have used Doc Farwell's yellow grafting goop a couple of times, but I
find that I can't keep it from solidifying from one spring to the next,
even though the container is well sealed. Should I be expecting it to
be usable from year to year, or does it harden in the contain once the
bottle is opened? I don't use enough in a season to justify buying it
every spring, even a small container, since the shipping is so
expensive.
