- Subject: [NAFEX] Thinning question

What do you use for thinning apples? When I pull apples to dislodge them from spurs, the whole spur usually comes off. So I bought clippers that are used for clipping grape bunches from the vine but, most of the time, the apple stems slide through the blades instead of being cut off. Kitchen scissors are too clumsy.
What do you use that works good?
