We have plenty of bees at our place, south of Cookeville. I watched blueberry bees at work, while carpenter and honeybees cheated. Rescued what must have been a blue orchard bee from a bucket, it was almost as big as a honeybee. And we've had lots of the little fuzzy bees that nest in the dirt. I guess there must be beekeepers near us doing the normal sized bee foundation. For many years the only honeybees in our area were the wild black ones. I know there were people saying that only the tame ones could survive the mites because they were being chemically treated, but they were wrong. The wild ones with their normal size honeycombs were suffering less than the tame ones. Donna
