Mark -
Typical of a summer apple, Lyman's ripen unevenly
and their harvest window is short - they are a 'green' apple, even at maturity -
Our family traveled thru south central Michigan a
couple of weeks ago and were sobered by how dry it was - if you are dealing with
drought, that makes apples drop more readily as the tree suffers moisture stress
-
But even under the best of conditions, Lyman's puts
apples on the ground at the least provocation -

David - north central IN - picking Transparents,
Pristine, and Lubsk Queen - Williams Pride next week -
