I am in Ostrava, its on north and east corner of country near polish
border,not far from slovak border.Jan Kola, Jasminova 1616, 70800
Ostrava,Czech Rep.EU thank you you are very kind, but my sort a.kol. is
best in world due to description of sorts.Berries are 42mm long, width is
14-15mm, weight 4,7gram bigger berry is 6gram.quality good, three berries on
one stem as common with actinidia. I am streeming for 22 years to get patent
for it without succes.Mr. Jakob recomended to me Mr. Haeberli. I tried to
work with him, but he is bad man. I brought to him plants twoo sorts of my
lonicera and make agreement that he can patent it for his own and he will
pay to me royalties. He patented it and when I ask money, he said: I do got
it from someboady other,I do not want to speak with you.He is multiplying it
in big, he is boss of great consorcium in hungary, and mainly in deutschland.
All his companies are multiplying it and in catalogues they show picture not
the sort of mine, but the slovakia sort.Slovakians went from my sorts
also, and patented it in all europe.I will hardly do something. Haeberli
know, that i have no money at all, I was working not hunting money.from 1971
till 1986 I worked ilegaly through nights with Operation Mobilisation
spreading smougled books for our country, slovakia, russia, ukraine,
romania.they came and usualy brought 1000kg of books in car.Komunistic
system named the work Ideology diversion.Iwas often folowed by secret
police, but they took me only twice and let me go, for I had twoo very
strong defendants very brave and cleaver, they made fun from komunists and
secret.in day I was working in factory, afternoon in garden and nights
travelling with suitcases and often with car of brothers.Hard time.I am
looking for many plants, but i will have to repay it and I am streeming to
patent some sort.here I am in war with totaly corupted specialists. They had
good busines by western countries.TIR was carriing plants like for
exhibition no custom,no taxes and all this was black busines for deutschland
, nederland, france, belge, danmark, and others.Nor western countries helped
to me patent my sorts. Here is very hard to get plant of lonicera.privat
company is sold out totaly. The boss patented my sort and he is milioner.I
have here borowed computer Pentium 2,no printing,no photo except mobil.I do
not sell plants, for I am too busy to keep alive my garden no conditiones to
multiply plants.I did not find any company here nor abroad, who is honest
and who can speak about breeders rights.22 years ago I aplied for
patent, everyboady could have this in garden and could get many vitamins from
it. My sort of actinidia have 1520mg% of vit C!!! loniceras are best content
of vitamin Pand other. such boom like lonicera was not here with other
fruits.I will look for internet addresses, by Jan

Hallo Jan,
druschba tawarisch, dobre djen!
It's very interesting!
Real research in new cultivars is done at many places - but usually only
with "commercially interesting" crops like apples, pears, cherries, grape...
There is only one place known for it's many, many Actinidia cultivars:
Bayerische Landesanstalt für Weinbau und Gartenbau near Würsburg/Bavaria.
If you need any information or material, let me know and I will help you
for sure.
I guess they have approx. 100 Actinidia cultivars. If you are searching
for special Actinidia cultivars (even many, many other fruits and wild
fruit-cultivars), let me know!
Even I have a contact to an old Actinidia collector with a very large
private collection. Unfortunately he has no e-mail.
In my collection I have only some usual Actinidia cultivars. Could get
e.g. A. kolomikta "Matowaja" cuttings.
In which area are you located? I am from Northern Germany near Hannover.

ciao
Hans
