Hi Bob,

I have some blackcaps on order for this spring, but have never grown them
yet. In general, they're not supposed to be as hardy as thorny blackberries
and red raspberries, and also very susceptible to rust.

Nourse Farms advertises virus free plants, so I ordered a few "Jewel" for t
his spring. They are supposedly slightly more disease resistant than other
black raspberries. However, the Nourse catalog lists "Bristol" as a better
tasting berry. They list Bristol, Jewel and Mac Black all as zone 5 plants.
