Ha! Ferbam is also used in rubber vulcanization as well as with crops!
No wonder you saw your gaskets change!

This link goes to the manufacturer (Taminco) of Ferbam. I have emailed
the U.S. guy, so we'll see what they have to say!!

http://www.taminco.com/cms/templates/bu_crop.cfm?id=111 (ferbam
description)

http://www.taminco.com/cms/templates/bu_crop.cfm (rubber vulcanization
part!)

It does look like it has been cancelled:
http://www.pesticideinfo.org/List_Products.jsp?PestName=Brown%20rot%20bl
ossom%20blt.%20(monilinia)&offset=244

And here is a list of products it was used in:
http://www.scorecard.org/chemical-profiles/pesticides.tcl?edf_substance_
id=14484-64-1

Maybe a closer look at some of the chemical formulas will get us closer
to a reasonable substitute...

Hi,

I just put my currants into 4 liter plastic pails and freeze them.

The freezing helps break down the cellular walls and releases more juice

without cooking.

I do the same with fresh cider from the mill. Emptied 2 liter pop
bottles
work fine for all juices. Applesauce can also be frozen.

Prolonged freezing also offers some sterilizing effects.

Does a nutless black walnut cultivar exist that can be planted as an
ornamental next to houses, driveways, etc.? I've read that they are
monoecious, so I guess that would imply a specimen that lacked the
ability to produce fertile female flowers.

Could you be referring to Cotinis nitida L. (Green June Beetle)?

Two years ago when a fellow INGA member passed away his widow gave me a
full
box of Furbam which was labeled for Brown Rot. It is very black, has a
non
attractive odor, have sprayed with it about three times this year. My
peaches are
now ripening and the lowest amount of Brown Rot in years. Having damp
hot
weather which promotes Brown Rot. I may get a decent crop of donut
peaches. They
are good!

I have a new sprayer (air blast) and have been spraying more regularly
this
year. Whether it was better attention to spraying or the Furban is
unknown.
