Remember the brit hort writers can certainly be as windy as amerikan
hort writers.
You might want to consider both Suncrisp and Goldrush for both culinary
and fresh eating qualities.
We had Bramley for at least 15 years and in most seasons, it was not
edible.

I still find it hard to believe that an apple can have such devotees
as the Bramley does. Do we have anything similar in America that likes
zone 4 and heavy clay?
