Note: don't smear the Tanglefoot directly on the stem of the persimmon!!!!

Wrap some Saran wrap or light weight plastic around the stem and then put the
Tanglefoot on this plastic wrap.

When persimmon is growing more than a caterpillar can eat or when it looks
like
the plastic will constrict the stem, remove the strips of Tanglefoot.
