Don't even bother with the 7' fence. Here in sw Connecticut I have them go over an
8' sheep fence if they can't push their heads thru...which they prefer to do......
and then the ruin it on the way out while I chase them....:(
The best fence I know of is the poly fencing which is in fact 8' high and light enough to install easily. They cannot put a nose thru the holes and so never ruin the fence.
The bigger deer then, won't bother.
