Rob here in Edmonton we have put a number of trees of Mount Royal Plum on
Americana. It is very dwarfing to Mount Royal, a really nice and hardy
European plum from Montreal, Quebec. We bury the graft by a foot so the
Mount Royal self roots in a couple of years, then it takes off nicely. So
be careful. It isn't a good rootstock for some European plums at least,
like Mount Royal.
