same thing with my pot grown blackjack (woody when
they drop). I have 8 or 9 left, but I'm sick of
hauling the huge pot in and out depending on the
weather. It doesn't look like frost, but cool and wet
for the next week.

I have a petite negri fig, however that has produced
many delicious little figs and seems quite happy in a
portable-sized pot. THey all go into the chicken coop
when they finally go dormant for the year--lit, but
goes down to the low 30's/20's in the long cold months
of February..we keep it a little warm so we don't have
to refill the water dishes more that once a day before
they freeze.

Boyd Manges, z5--Petoskey, MI

terrible year up here for most fruit due to the early
warm/record cold snap.
