Title: Re: [NAFEX] Two Apple Varieties
Paulared's patent was issued in 1968, so it is long out of patent (17 years is the usual length of a patent).  Blaze was never patented.  Don't find Early Blaze.

Hello,

This list will be able to tell you if those varieties are patented or not, and most likely supply scions, and a local source for rootstock.

If they are patented, it is just a matter of sending a $1-2 to the patent holder for a using the scions for personal use.

You are at the perfect point to learn to graft (early in your interest).  You can pay lots of money for a few trees ($30+ each at a nursery), or learn to graft and save that money for other things that cannot be acquired cheaply (sprays, fertilizer, accessories, etc.).

Later,
Tom
