Internet connection at the office has been down for a couple of days, so my
only access is via webmail at home - if I can get in between my kids.

Hmm. I wasn't necessarily considering trying MN 447 - actually, I'm getting
to the point that I'm not seriously considering planting/grafting any more
apples for myself - unless it's an especially promising 'edible' crab or
really disease-resistant cultivar that'll make it with my laissez-faire(or
should that be 'lazy'-faire?) management style. But, it sounded interesting,
with comments coming from folks who'd actually fruited and tasted it, rather
than just a flowery catalog description.

Haven't seen this much activity on a particular thread in a while, other than
over 'electronic vs paper'.
