You are correct in thinking you had seen something in writing about
using powdered rooting hormone, there was an article in the POMONA some
years ago on the subject. I have used powered rooting hormone on a
number of grafts with a slight increase in success, however care must be
taken to not use too much, it can work against you if you do.

Has anyone out ther ever heard of the Shiawassee Apple? Shiawassee is a
county in Michigan near Lansing.
