Some of the apple-shaped pears, eaten fresh off the tree, are very good.
It is shaped much like a Bartlet but it can be eaten right off the tree.
Very juicy and not as crisp as most asians.
The tree starts growing very upright and then the branches start growing horizonal and droop down.
So that picking becomes easier with age of tree.
