Thanks for the replies on and off nafex. The closest the recipe below gets to plums is the almonds and apricots, but it sounds good .....So far no replies to my listing a url for a plum called sugar plum, here it is again

Looking at it, my ignorant guess is that it is simply a prune/plum...a Stanley? they say up to 25% sugar content. Is sugar content what makes a plum good for prunes? I have thought to grow a plum here in the north country for making prunes, but no idea where to begin. Thanks! Del z2/3

1/4 cup honey
2t grated orange zest
1 1/2t ground cinnamon
1/2 t ground allspice
1/2t grated nutmeg
1 cupfinely chopped apricots
1 cup finely chopped pitted dates
1 cup confectioners sugar
