I overwinter my excess fruit trees in their own pots. After it freezes a
little, just tip the pots over on their sides (to prevent drowning during
breakup) and let natural snowfall cover them. Keeping in mind that our
Fairbanks, AK winters are different than yours. Clair in zone 1-2
