Don't you have a Good Samaritan law that would protect those otherwise unqualified who are trying to render assistance in life threatening situations?

Check with your state’s EMS protocol regarding auto-injectors.  In many states only the adult or guardian of the minor victim can administer the injection if not a medical professional acting on orders.  This means you must be a National Registry EMT-I, RN, EMT-P, PA acting on a physician’s orders or a physician to administer the epi.  In PA I can administer the nerve gas antidotes with auto injectors as an EMT but not epi for bee stings (nerve gas kit is similar—3 shots through clothes, repeat in 15 minutes or as directed).  This also applies to the new insulin injectors.

Yes I do. I have each work with a trainer pen- just in case I am unable to. I always tell anyone I ride with we all need to know each others allergies. If we go down we can't help others.

Dawn, do you also tell each of your team mates that you have these?  Have
you had them practice using a "trainer" pen?  If you have a severe event
there is a chance that others will need to administer the epinephrine.  I
nearly lost a friend that way.  He gave himself one dose but then passed
out.  Other people gave him the additional doses that saved his life.
