You are correct, the number of NPS multi resource searches (yearly) is
relatively small. I've included the NPS stats for those
wanting more info on this topic: Please keep in mind that many lost/missing
person incidents (within park lands) are handled onsite
by park rangers/staff in less than an hour, which are not recorded within the
yearly NPS stats:

Unfortunately, statistical data is only as good as what is entered
into the recording system.
