Andy:  When you say much better, what do you mean?  Much better for what -- shelf life, the plant, quicker to pick, etc.?
 
Thanks -- have heard of others who pluck but have not had the chance to ask why.

I "pluck" my Kale, Collards and Chard.  It seems to work much better than cutting.
