Our iris and glads did good in the heat, but most of our late season was just not there this year, just too much heat and not enough water.  Our snaps are blooming great right now, have no idea where they were all summer, still no rain but cooler.

Can anyone suggest some cut flowers that love heat and drought and do well direct seeded?  I had zinnias, sunflowers, cleome, celosia, and cosmos, but need something else. During the peak of the heat and drought this summer it was the flowers that saved us. I want to expand on that next year, but I feel like I need a little more variety.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
