I am planning on putting up some quick hoop/low tunnels over my broccoli and cauliflower this fall. However, when should I put it up? I am not looking to exclude bugs, I am looking at extending the season. Last year, without protection, it lasted until mid November when we had a big snowstorm and very low temps. Should I put them up when the temps get cooler or would there be some benefit to putting them up sooner? I am thinking maybe early October, but it depends on the weather.
