Kathryn,
That is so interesting, since I was just talking to my husband about
that very issue! I use cellophane bags (ecco friendly) from PakSel, but my
greens tend to get a bit squished between the packaging, the refrigerator
cooler, the portable cooler, the delivery vehicle, to the market! I want a
nice product and those clamshells look really nice...even at Wal Mart.
sigh. Now, where to buy those clamshells??

packaging
Along these same lines, I'd be curious to know if anyone is using the
clamshell containers for their salad greens, rather than plastic bags.
We're considering switching to clamshells and I wonder if others have used
both at market, and what the results were for each.
Secondly, there was an article in Yahoo news about how to help
greens stay fresh longer, presumably after they've already gotten home.
I'd be curious if anyone has proven or disproven these methods:
If this is generally good advice (and doesn't run afoul of any known food
safety policy) I might copy this article and include it for customers buying
greens. Any comment? Kathryn Kerby
