Yes, Marcy its a smaller bean.  I can actually run them through my Kinsey soybean inserts in my JD 7000 planter.  For those that care, your much smaller open pollinated corn (non-dent) seem to run through these plates in the same way but you have to tweak the gearing way down to reduce the population.

That's confirming more of what I am seeing.  OSU Extension is saying 2" between plants and 26" to 36" between rows, that, however, is under a generic heading of "dry beans".  I am guessing this is about 95 to 100lbs per acre.  I think I am just going to dive in an plant 2" with a standard 30" spacing and use our corn planter.  Then I can cultivate with equipment set up for that spacing.
