I had a long run once, no driveways or anything, but I do remember the water coming out of the line would be too hot to touch until it was flushed out.

Greetings,
I have laid schedule 80 pipe just in the caliche of my drive way to
cross my drive. I have 18 wheelers come in to deliver mulch and
compost, the pipe has survived and not broken. We use the grey pipe as
fence posts in internal fencing, not perimeter on our land. It takes
the sun really well.
