Oh cool, a fellow nutrient-dense type using increased spacing. This is my first year, and having both read Solomon's book and gobs of things on Brix (and not having irrigation in place yet) I have been planting at wider-than-normal spacings.
I'm very interested in anything you can share in terms of experience reports, Dave or others. You've noticed a benefit?

I also plant further apart-a la SteveSolomon--to give the roots the space they need.
