if I sell 27 cukes and usually can't sell teh last three (and I don't want to donate them or eat them) they go home with some regulars or first timers.

On lettuce and salad mix, I put out a sacrificial bag or three and post a sign that there are more in the coolers. After some training, it works well and then regulars train newbies. I've also done lettuce with the butt end in a tray of water. I've also seen plenty of vendors who make lettuce stacks, with the head horizontal but they must have a brisk pace. Hot windy markets, I take a chance and put less out between rushes.

What are folks using for bags? I've been using GFS 1mil for smix figuring a solid bag might get re-used. Every time I start to research better/other options, the choices are overwhelming...
Thanks,
Mike
