Richard,

If your driptape just has a small hole, you can fix it with PVC sticky tape
(the kind electricians use). I learned from Alison and Paul (thanks,
folks!), to do these repairs with the water on. Counter-intuitive perhaps,
but the water holds the tape in the full rounded shape. Bandage up and down
the driptape several times, overlapping layers. The tape sticks to itself,
and makes a long-lasting repair. Plus, it's easy to carry a roll of PVC
tape.
