Folks: I remember that black walnut trees are not friendly to gardens, but can't remember particulars. Can anyone help? How far from the tree -- from the trunk? from the drip line? The grass and flowers seem to grow well enough under and around it. Are there certain crops that won't tolerate the tree? Many thanks for any help with this. Almost 80 today, for a change Elaine Denver, Zone 5ish. |
