I'll leave it to others to comment on the efficacy of guinea fowl. I hope
they also comment on how useful they are in the market.

But regarding cucumber beetle, one of the problems that must be solved is the
fact that they carry a bacterium in their gut that causes bacterial wilt in
cucumbers and melons. This disease is impossible to cure once the plants are
infected, so it is critical to prevent the insect from infesting the plants.
It may not be possible for guinea fowl to remove the beetles fast enough from
those crops to prevent the disease.
