I've seen slitted plastic row covers in someone's catalogue.  The warm air, as it rises, pushes against the slits and open them, thus venting the tunnel.  Haven't tried them, so don't know how they well they work.

Ok folks help me out here.

I have seen Coleman use plastic over low tunnels and it appears he is hand venting when necessary. Do you have any experience with low tunnels using some sort of automatic or self-venting system. Have you used slitted plastic? Auto openers? I am located at the Mason-Dixon Line and it can heat up fast in tunnels.
