Breck

If you buy the clear slitted plastic row tunnels, they can self ventilate if
properly set up. The idea is that the tunnel material should be applied, or
rather stretched, over the hoops tightly and without any twisting of
orientation of the plastic. The tight stretching should facilitate closure of
the slit vents. When done properly, the slit channels will be closed in cool,
cloudy conditions. As the sun comes out and conditions warm up, the air
inside the plastic expands and the slits open up, especially as heat builds
inside and pushes air against them. I've done it multiple times and it works
pretty well if set up properly.

Its not perfect and in warm climates, if used too late in the season, the
temps still get too warm inside the tunnels. They are really just a tool for
very early season applications.
