I transplanted spinach all season and it worked great. I am using a paper-pot transplanter and it has totally changed the economics of growing transplanted spinach for me.

Hi all --

Has anybody ever tried growing spinach from transplants? I can't seem to get decent germination in the summer, even under shadecloth; but could surely sell the stuff in late summer and fall if I could get it to grow. I get my lettuce to germinate by starting it indoors in cool places, and set it all out as transplants. I don't know if spinach would just bolt if I tried that, though.
