I really, really like Alchemy Acres, depending on how much you like to talk.
I'm assuming you will have to explain what "alchemy" means but that also
opens the door to conversation and what is meant by your tagline. Since I
have difficulty sometimes with starting conversations with customers, that
would be a built-in stepping stone for me :-) Heck, I have to explain
"heritage" which is in my farm name.
I don't think agri-biz chemicals when I hear "alchemy" but that's just me.
You could play off the bag of gold image with have veggies and stuff spilling
out of it. However, that does give me the vision that farmers are rich,
hahaha. "Turning dirt into gold" is a really good way to talk about
composting and the richness of the soil, but I'm always looking for an excuse
to educate consumers about what it takes to put a healthy vegetable on the
plate.
A couple things I have learned: make sure the domain name is available.
Everybody should have a website, even if it is only one page. Also make sure
it is not trademarked by somebody else, and does not contain something you
may change your mind about raising 5 years down the road. I kind of wish I
hadn't used "heritage" in my farm name because I've had to sell all of the
livestock since my husband lost his job, and am concentrating mainly on just
herbs for now..
Just my opinion,
DebM
